Thank you for your request.

We don't produce mid-year population estimates at postcode level. However, you can get this information from census data. The census is run every 10 years, the last one being in 2011.

To get data this data, please go to the Nomis website, then go to the purple header click on 'Census Statistics', click on Table finder, under 'Keyword filter options' click on population density, click on 'usual residence population (KS101EW), on the left hand side of the page, click on query data, under 'Postcode' click on the level of postcode you require area, district or sectors, then click on how many you need some, all. If you click on some it gives you a drop down list of the areas shown, tick the areas you require. Then go to and click download data. Nomis will ask what format you want data to be shown by.

You can also get data at a lower level of postcode by using the following instructions: open Nomis, click on the purple header titled Census Statistics', then click onHeadcounts and Household Estimates for postcodes in England and Wales, then click on the postcode file.
