You asked

For every non-COVID-19 excess death recorded in 2022, please can you provide a breakdown of all non-COVID-19 excess deaths by COVID-19 vaccination status, manufacturer of vaccine, number of vaccinations/boosters and date of last COVID-19 vaccination prior to death. Ideally please do this as an additional sub set of the current demographic, location, cause of death and other criteria already published.

Thank you for your request.

We are responsible for the production of mortality data for England and Wales, this is driven by information collected from the death certificate at death registration.

Unfortunately, we cannot supply "Excess deaths" by vaccination status, as we calculate excess deaths against the five-year average. As the current vaccination programme was launched in December 2020, we do not have sufficient data to calculate against. Further information on the calculation of Excess deaths is available in our blog Understanding excess deaths during a pandemic.

We also do not hold data on the manufacturer of the COVID-19 vaccine. However, statistics on COVID-19 boosters and vaccinations are published in Deaths by vaccination status, England, this analysis looks at deaths involving coronavirus (COVID-19), non-COVID-19 deaths and all deaths by vaccination status, broken down by age group. This is available up to May 2022. An update to this publication is scheduled for release on 21 February 2023.

The data are for England only.  Vaccinations data for Wales is not yet available to be linked to the mortality dataset and the Public Health Data Asset (PHDA) covers England only.
