We said

Thank you for your request for information on knife crime.

We do not hold data for police recorded offences involving the use of a knife or sharp instrument by city.

The lowest level geography we hold for this offence category is Police Force Area. These data are published in Tables P4 and P5 of our Police Force Area data tables alongside our quarterly Crime in England and Wales release.

The Home Office supply us with the knife crime data that we publish and they may be able to assist you further. They can be contacted at Crimeandpolicestats@homeoffice.gov.uk.

The data referred to above only cover England and Wales; we do not hold police recorded crime data covering the whole of the UK.

Crime-related data for Scotland are published by the Scottish Government and are available here: https://www.gov.scot/Topics/Statistics/Browse/Crime-Justice

Police recorded crime data for Northern Ireland are published by the Police Service of Northern Ireland and are available here https://www.psni.police.uk/inside-psni/Statistics/.
