Please provide the latest statistics on how many girls aged between 5-12 years and 13-17 years there currently are in the UK and also geographically where they live please.

Thank you for your Freedom of Information request.
We publish population estimates and the latest available are for mid-2017. If you open the relevant Excel spreadsheet within the link, the table MYE2-F gives data for females by single year of age by local authority which will enable you to calculate how many girls are in the age groups you request. The mid-2018 population estimates will be published on 26 June 2019; they should be available through the same link.
