You asked

As of 2016, how many Cypriots are registered in England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland?

Furthermore, I would also like to ask as of September 2016, how many Sammarinese are registered in England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland?

Thank you for your queries about Cypriot and Sammarinese people living in England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland. ONS collects data on the country of birth and nationality of the UK population from the Annual Population Survey (APS). The APS is the Labour Force Survey (LFS) plus various sample boosts. It is a household survey and so does not include people living in most types of communal establishment. Please note that calendar year 2015 is the latest data available. Data for 2016 will be published in August 2017.

Table A of this release gives the estimate of people born in Cyprus living in England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland in columns V – AC, rows 55 and 56. https://www.ons.gov.uk/peoplepopulationandcommunity/populationandmigration/internationalmigration/datasets/populationoftheunitedkingdombycountryofbirthandnationalityunderlyingdatasheets

The same figures are available by nationality in table E of the same release, in columns V – AC, rows 44 and 45.

The ONS has not recorded any people born in, or nationals of, San Marino in the APS, and so they are not shown in this table. This means no estimate can be made for the number of Sammarinese–born or Sammarinese citizens living in England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland.

Please note: Estimates within the tables are provided alongside 95% confidence intervals to indicate the reliability of the estimate. These confidence intervals provide a range (by adding to, and subtracting from, the estimate) in which the true value is likely to lie. There is a 95% probability that the true figure lies within this range. Users should be cautious when making inferences from estimates with large confidence intervals. If the confidence interval is higher than the estimate, it is not considered reliable for practical purposes.

Further information on the APS is available in the "Contents and Notes" section located within the spreadsheets.

I hope this answers your questions but please let me know if you need any further information.
