Contains detailed analyses of all deaths which were attributed to accidents, poisonings and violence, covering both the external cause and the nature of injury. These deaths are analysed by age and sex.
This publication has been discontinued following a consultation on restructuring ONS mortality statistics. The last volume to published was Mortality statistics: Injury and poisoning, 2005 (Series DH4 No. 30).
The annual publication Deaths registered in England and Wales (based on death registrations) includes selected tables from DH4.
