In Quarter 3 of 2011, the deficit on trade in goods widened by £2.6 billion to £27.6 billion, compared with the deficit of £25.0 billion in Quarter 2 of 2011.
In Quarter 3 of 2011, total exports rose by £0.1 billion (0.1 per cent) to £74.2 billion, but total imports rose by £2.7 billion (2.7 per cent) to £101.8 billion.
