Seasonally adjusted, the UK’s deficit on trade in goods and services was £4.2 billion in August, compared with a deficit of £1.7 billion in July.
The deficit on trade in goods was £9.8 billion in August, compared with a deficit of £7.3 billion in July.
The surplus on seasonally adjusted trade in services was estimated at £5.7 billion in August, compared with a surplus of £5.6 billion in July.
The deficit on trade in goods with EU countries was £4.9 billion in August, compared with a deficit of £4.4 billion in July.
The deficit on trade in goods with non-EU countries was £5.0 billion in August, compared with a deficit of £2.9 billion in July.
