The short video podcast using audio commentary and graphical animations shows:

  • The latest estimates of people unemployed, employed, inactive and claiming Jobseeker's Allowance (JSA).

  • It then shows how the quarterly change in employment is broken down by those who are full-time and part-time.

  • Next, it looks at how unemployment has changed in the UK since 1992 before comparing unemployment across Europe from 2001.

  • Finally, it looks at vacancies and the number of people unemployed per vacancy.
