Historic and Projected Mortality Data from the Period and Cohort Life Tables, 2012-based, UK, 1981-2062
Life expectancy (ex), probability of death (qx) and numbers of persons surviving (lx) from the 2012-based National Population Projections reference tables. These tables contain historic and projected figures for 1981 to 2062 on a period and cohort basis from life tables calculated using observed and projected deaths and population estimates and projections.

Cancer Survival for Children in England: Patients Diagnosed 1990-2006 and Followed up to 2011
This bulletin includes data on survival for all children (aged 0–14 years) diagnosed with cancer in England during 1990-2006, followed up to 31 December 2011. Five-year survival estimates are presented for all cancers combined, for each year from 1990 to 2006. Survival estimates are reported by age group and for all ages combined, both unstandardised and age-standardised.

Pension Trends Chapter 5: State Pensions, 2013 Edition
This chapter looks at state pension provision in the UK through the Basic State Pension (BSP), the additional state pension, Pension Credit and related benefits. It starts by examining the state pension system that is expected to be in place until 2016. It then briefly reviews the 2013/14 Pensions Bill and the reforms that are proposed within it. It concludes with an examination of the cost of state pensions, and projections of state pension expenditure, based on proposed changes in the 2013/14 Pensions Bill.

What does the 2011 Census tell us about the "oldest old" living in England & Wales?
This report looks at the characteristics of the “oldest old” – those aged 85 or over on Census Day 2011. It compares them to people aged 65 to 84 in 2011 and to those who were in the 85 and over age group on Census Day 2001. It looks at the similarities and differences between them, for example in their marital status, perceived general health and the amount of unpaid care that they provide.

This release contains estimates of the key components of GDP from the output, income and expenditure approaches. Gross Domestic Product measures the chained volume index movements of the UK. The services sector accounts for more than three quarters of total gross domestic product. Figures are adjusted for seasonal variations unless otherwise stated. The reference year is 2010=100.

Public Sector Finances, October 2013
The PSF Statistical Bulletin, is published jointly by ONS and HM Treasury on a monthly basis, and provides the latest available measures for key public sector financial statistics such as Public Sector Current Budget (PSCB), Net Borrowing (PSNB), Net Debt (PSND) and PSND as a percentage of GDP. These key indicators are provided on two bases. One set includes the temporary effects of financial interventions made in response to the financial crisis that began in 2007, such as the establishment of public ownership/control of several major banking groups. An alternative set of indicators, the so-called ‘ex-measures’, excludes the temporary effects of financial interventions.
