The phrase 'Pre-release Access' refers to the practice whereby official statistics in their final form, and any accompanying written commentary, are made available to an eligible person in advance of their publication. The rules and principles which govern pre-release access are featured within the Pre-release Access to Official Statistics Order 2008.

This article will look at young people aged 16 to 24 who are unemployed in the UK and how this has changed since the 1980s, breaking the goup into those who are still in full-time education and those that have left full-time education. Unemloyment rates for those that have left full-time education are considered by level of qualification. The difference between the unempoyment rate and proportion is explained with reference to regional and EU comparisions. Finally, this article looks at young people claiming Job Seeker's Allowance and what type of occupation they are seeking.

Pre-release access list for weekly deaths

Each of the four constituent UK countries measures deprivation using a distinct index of multiple deprivation (IMD). Although not directly comparable, situations exist where comparison across the whole UK may be useful. We describe a method of creating a UK-wide IMD score, using employment and income domains of the individual country IMD scores, along with residual values from a regression of employment and income on the overall IMD. Using Scottish IMD as a baseline to generate an adjusted UK score, the absolute change in Welsh and English IMD scores was relatively small, but with a considerable change in ranking in Wales. The adjusted IMD score was higher than the actual IMD score for Northern Ireland although had minimal impact on ranking.

Consumer Price Indices Publication dates 2012 - 2013

A comprehensive selection of data on input and output index series. Contains producer price indices of materials and fuels purchased and output of manufacturing industry by broad sector.

Construction output is a monthly series of the output of the construction industry in both the private and public sectors. Current and constant price not seasonally adjusted data by sector are published along with a quarterly series of constant price seasonally adjusted index data and value data by sector.

Monthly estimates of completed international visits to and from the UK and earnings and expenditure associated with these visits.

Pre-release access list for weekly deaths

This publication provides estimates during the survey year 2010 on Foreign Direct Investment flows, positions and earnings involving UK companies, broken down by continent, country, component and industry. The investment figures are published on a net basis, that is, they consist of investments net of disinvestments. The estimates in this publication are sourced principally from the Office for National Statistics’ comprehensive annual surveys into foreign direct investment. A summary of these results, by continent and country, was initially released as an ONS Statistical Bulletin for Foreign Direct Investment involving UK companies 2010 on 8th December 2011.
