This package contains summary statistics on stillbirths including figures by age of parents and quarter of occurrence. Tables also provide birthweight data for live and stillbirths by mother's area of usual residence and maternities, live births, and stillbirths in hospitals by area of occurrence. Statistics on multiple births and place of birth will be published in the Characteristics of Birth 2 package.

2011 Baby Names Statistics Boys

The tables contain data for numbers of live births, fertility rates, percentage of births outside marriage/civil partnership, sex ratio, mean age of mother, area of usual residence of mother and country of birth of mother and father. The 2011 rates within these tables are provisional, calculated using 2011 population projections at the national level and 2010 population estimates at the sub-national level. Rates for 2011 will be finalised in October/November 2012 after the 2011 population estimates based on the 2011 Census are published.
