2011 Census statistics provide a rich source of information about the number, distribution and characteristics of the population in England and Wales as at census day (27 March 2011). The statistics included in this release provide the first detailed cross tabulations of two or more topics from the census that add to the detail already provided in earlier releases.

Comparison of developments in GDP and the labour market in the latest quarter.

The tables contain Labour Market indicators for the East Midlands. These cover economic activity, employment, unemployment, economic inactivity, full-time, part-time and temporary workers, workforce jobs, hours of work, Claimant Count by sex and duration of claim, economic activity by age, unemployment by age and economic inactivity by age and reason.

The tables contain Labour Market indicators for all UK regions for the latest period from January to March 2013. These cover economic activity, employment, unemployment and economic inactivity from the LFS. Time series estimates for the three month period from March 1992 to May 1992 onwards are also available in these tables.
