Quarterly conceptions to women aged under 18 by local authority, England and Wales, Q4 2011

This release explores the link between teenage conceptions and measures of deprivation both nationally and regionally. It contains an article, an interactive toolkit and a short story. The short story looks at under 18 conceptions and its relationship with unemployment at the regional level. The article builds on this analysis and more closely examines the link between conceptions and various measures of deprivation. The toolkit allows for the exploration of conception and deprivation datasets.

This article explores the most recent annual under 18 conception data using three year aggregates and averages. It highlights patterns in the data and explores possible reasons for these patterns. Under 18 conceptions are considered in context, with comparisons drawn to under 16 conceptions as well as selected population and urban aspects.

Report on fertility patterns in the UK for UK born and non-UK born mothers in the period 2007 - 2011. Includes investigation of fertility patterns at the country level, and also of specific non-UK maternal countries of birth.

This report gives an overview of childbearing among UK born and non-UK born women living in the UK during the period 2007 -2011. It investigates changes in births over time and variation between areas of the UK, as well as the differences between the fertility patterns of UK born and non-UK born women.
