The tables presented here are based on the findings from CSEW interviews conducted in the 2011/12 financial year and give a picture of the nature of bicycle-theft, burglary, household theft, personal theft, vandalism, vehicle-related theft and violent crime. These tables expand on the information provided in the main release 'Crime Statistics, Period Ending March 2012' and should be read alongside this earlier publication. Bicycle theft covers thefts of bicycles belonging to the respondent or any member of the respondent’s household. This category does not include every bicycle theft, as some may be stolen during the course of another offence (for example, burglary) and are therefore classified as such in the CSEW.
