Economic inactivity (aged 16 to 64) by reason. This spreadsheet has been set up in printer-friendly format showing data for the last two years, with historic data appearing in hidden rows. The spreadsheet has macro buttons to unhide the rows to enable users to view the entire time series. If the macros do not work this is probably due to the security settings on your computer. You can either change the security settings or unhide the rows manually.

Labour Market Statistics Dataset

This dataset contains the main labour market statistics data series. All of the series in this dataset are available in spreadsheet format from the labour market data tables. In this dataset Labour Force Survey (LFS) estimates are shown for the mid-month of the three-month average time periods. For example, estimates for January to March 2012 are shown as "February 2012", estimates for February to April 2012 are shown as "March 2012", etc.

Regional Labour Market: HI00 - Headline LFS Indicators for All Regions, May 2013 (Excel sheet 6923Kb)

The tables contain Labour Market indicators for all UK regions for the latest period from January to March 2013. These cover economic activity, employment, unemployment and economic inactivity from the LFS. Time series estimates for the three month period from March 1992 to May 1992 onwards are also available in these tables.

These tables contain experimental quarterly statistics of inactivity by age for regions and countries of the UK, based on the Labour Force Survey for the three month period January to March 2013. These tables also contain historic data for the three month periods from July 2006 to September 2006 onwards. Tables containing annual National Statistics of inactivity by age for regions and countries of the UK, based on the Annual Population Survey, are available in the Headline Indicator tables HI01-HI11.

Tables containing annual National Statistics of inactivity by age for regions and countries of the UK, based on the Annual Population Survey, are available in the Headline Indicator tables HI01-HI11.
