26-Mar-2014This report assesses cycling to work by residents of England and Wales using the results of the 2011 Census. Changes since 2001 are analysed, while cycling by workers resident in London is compared to cycling by workers resident in the rest of England and Wales. The characteristics of people cycling to work are also assessed including age, sex and distance travelled to work.
