The Blue Book 2011 is published for the first time using new classification systems: UK Standard Industry Classification 2007 (SIC 2007) and the Classification of Product by Activity 2008 (CPA 2008). This article explains the impact of introducing these two classifications on the Supply and Use tables, defines the new industry and product categories used to construct these tables and explains the conversion process as well as the data sources used.
