Disability-free life expectancy, sub-national estimates for England, 2007–09
13-Jun-2012DFLE adds a dimension of quality of life to LE estimates, providing users with a summary measure of population health. DFLE can be used as a high level outcome to monitor health improvement, effects of policy change at national and local level, and to support service planning across sectors, such as health, benefits and pensions. This bulletin updates a previous article and presents the second in a series of annual estimates of LE and DFLE at age 16 across English regions and LADs, for men and women during the period 2007-09.
