    These tables accompany the Patterns of Pay article which presents an analysis of the Annual Survey of Hours and Earnings (ASHE) estimates from 1997 to 2012. ASHE is ONS's most detailed and comprehensive source of information on levels, make-up and distribution of the earnings of employees.
