Region and Country Profiles – Population and Migration tables

A production error was discovered in the reference table download, originally published on 28 October 2011.
In table 1 Resident population: by sex, originally published on 28 October 2011, for the variable All Persons, Total population growth (percentages) 2001 to 2010, figures for Wales and Northern Ireland were incorrect; the correct values are 3.3 and 6.5 respectively.
This error has now been corrected.
ONS apologises for any inconvenience caused.

In this release

Region and Country Profiles provides a source of essential statistics for the regions of England and the constituent countries of the UK (Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland). Population and Migration tables provide a wide range of demographic statistics to compare the countries, regions and local authority areas. A summary for each English region provides key facts and figures about population and migration in the area.
