National population projections by age and sex for the UK and constituent countries. Includes information on the principal (main) and variant (alternative scenario) projections for each country together with details of the fertility, mortality and migration assumptions on which they are based.
This publication presents the results of the 2008-based national population projections published in October and November 2009. It provides details about the results, and comparisons with the previous 2006-based national projections. It also gives details on the methodology used to produce the projections and information about the fertility, mortality and migration assumptions used, this includes some analysis of past trends.
