The seasonally adjusted index of production increased by 0.6% between quarter two 2013 and quarter three 2013, a slight increase on what was forecasted during the GDP preliminary estimate. There were increases of 0.9% in manufacturing, 1.6% in mining & quarrying and 3.5% in the water supply, sewerage & waste management sectors. Offsetting these decreases was a fall in the electricity, gas, steam & air conditioning sector, of 5.7%.

There was an increase of 0.9% in the index of production between August 2013 and September 2013. There were increases of 1.2% in manufacturing and 1.5% in mining & quarrying. The electricity, gas, steam & air conditioning sector was flat. Offsetting rises was a decrease of 1.6% in the water, sewerage & waste management sector.

In line with Quarterly National Account publication, revision periods back to July 2013 are published.
