  • The total volume (in £m) of all new construction orders in the third quarter of 2011 rose by 12.8 per cent compared with the second quarter of 2011.

  • The total volume of new construction orders fell by 5.5 per cent compared with the same period in 2010.

  • The largest contribution to growth in the third quarter came from private commercial which increased by 21.4% compared with the second quarter.
