Release: Annual Survey of Hours and Earnings Pension Tables , 2004 Results (including supplementary information)

The Annual Survey of Hours and Earnings (ASHE) provides information for UK employees on the type of pension arrangements within the company. From 2005 information on employee and employer pension contribution rates is also available. ASHE is based on a one per cent sample of employee jobs taken from HM Revenue & Customs (HMRC) PAYE records. Information on pensions is obtained from employers and treated confidentially. ASHE does not cover the self-employed nor does it cover employees not paid during the reference period.

The ASHE pension tables contain breakdowns by age, by industry including public/private sector breakdown, by occupation and by size of company. The tables cover UK employees by gender but additional information for full-time and part-time employees is available on request.
