The Office for National Statistics (ONS) has completed the first phase of a corporate restructure confirming appointments to four new director roles.
Permanent appointments to two further roles will be announced in due course.
The restructure is designed to help ONS meet future challenges and respond to changing customer and stakeholder needs.
From April 2012 the new structure will replace the current structure, in a change designed to deliver clear focus on cross-cutting issues, improve the office’s outward focus and strengthen strategic leadership and decision-making processes.
The appointments follow a rigorous selection process. They are:
-
Glen Watson, Director of Analysis and Dissemination
-
Joe Grice, Chief Economic Adviser
-
Guy Goodwin, Director of Population and Demography
-
Paul Woobey, Director of Strategy and Standards
Appointments to the Director of Collection and Production and the Director of Organisational Capability and Performance posts will be advertised shortly.
In the meantime, Caron Walker will take the role of Director of Collection and Production and an interim appointment will be made to Director of Organisational Capability and Performance.
