This group considers the methodology developed to improve sub-national migration and population estimates and their implementation, with the support of experts. The group is currently focused on short-term migrant estimates, replacing census data in estimating international migrant distributions and implementing improvements to the mid-2008 based population projections in time for the next local government finance settlement.
