Revisions to the following harmonised standards were ratified by the Heads of Profession for Statistics in July 2011.
The update includes the following amendments and additions:
1. CONSUMER DURABLES
The Consumer Durables standards have been updated to reflect changes in the wording of the questions and the removal of some questions for which information is no longer collected.

2. HOUSEHOLD DEFINITION
In relation to the 2011 Census, a revised household definition was developed which classified a household as: "One person living alone or a group of people (not necessarily related) living at the same address who share cooking facilities AND share a living room or sitting room or dining area." The harmonised standard has been updated to incorporate the revised definition.
