Key Statistics for the National Assembly for Wales

Release date: 3 April 2003

The bilingual report Key Statistics for Assembly Constituencies and Assembly Electoral Regions for the National Assembly for Wales contains data for Wales, the five Assembly Electoral Regions, and the 40 Assembly Constituencies in Wales.

This provides a geographically more detailed breakdown than the 22 Unitary Authorities included in the bilingual Key Statistics for local authorities in Wales.

The printed report, which was laid before Parliament, contains data mainly in percentages with appropriate denominators. It is also available to download from the National Statistics website.

Revised constituency boundaries

Key Statistics data for revised constituencies in Wales are available as part of the Key Statistics for revised Parliamentary Constituencies. The constituencies are as defined in the Fifth Periodical Report on Parliamentary Constituencies and First Report on The National Assembly for Wales Electoral Regions made by the Boundary Commission for Wales in December 2005.

The Key Statistics tables

The Key Statistics dataset consists of a series of 33 tables which provide a summary of the complete results of the Census. They are designed to enable easy comparison between areas across the full range of Census variables.
