Processing delays

Due to the introduction of new computing hardware, the Monthly Review of External Trade Statistics originally scheduled for publication at 9.30am on 15 May 2012 will now be released on 18 May 2012. New computing hardware will be introduced in April, which will result in the required statistical operational systems being unavailable for a number of days. For this reason the Monthly Review of External Trade Statistics will be delayed.

As a satellite account to the UK National Accounts, the UK Environmental Accounts utilises a range of economic data for analyses.

Each month we publish the Public Sector Finances Bulletin, which is normally followed by more detailed supplementary tables three working days later. In accordance with the code we have pre-announced the release of the supplementary tables. The next bulletin is due for publication on the 21 September with the supplementary tables on the 26 September. This month we have improved processes and the supplementary tables will be ready on the 22. Rather than hold back results that are ready for publication we would like to change the announced publication date to the 22 and release the tables earlier than previously announced. The changes to processes will allow us to publish these supplementary tables only one day after the bulletin in the future and so all future publication dates will be changed accordingly. Bringing the date forward will help some of our key customers, in particularly the Office for Budgetary Responsibility who will use the supplementary tables in their next Forecast Evaluation Report.

The Business Investment release will be published at 9.30am on 5 October 2011, moved from the original date of 30 September 2011 as a consequence of rescheduling the Quarterly National Accounts.
