I was wondering if you have travel to work data from a more recent census. I’m sure lots has changed since 2001.

You have requested information from the 2011 Census under the Freedom of Information Act. Statistics from the 2011 Census in England and Wales will be freely available on the Office for National Statistics (ONS) website in accordance with a planned timetable for release. It is therefore not necessary to make a Freedom of Information request.
2011 Census tables about Method of Travel to Work have been released for all administrative geographies from National to Ward level and for all geographies in the statistical hierarchy (LSOA, MSOA, OA) and can be downloaded from either the Ness or the NOMIS website. Go to www.nomisweb.co.uk

As regards travel flows (formerly known as Origin & Destination statistics), specifications for flow data are currently being tested and finalised. Work is underway to decide appropriate levels of statistical disclosure control. It is envisaged that some files will be freely available via the ONS website and that others will be available for download under a special license agreement, with the most disclosive being available only through the Virtual Microdata Laboratory (VML) in each of the three ONS offices. Specifications and levels of access will be notified via the ONS website prior to release.
We have no firm dates yet when travel flow data will be available although it is currently planned that it will be after the 4th Release, which is currently scheduled for issue between July to Oct 2013. Please see information on this link
