I should be grateful if you'd send me an Excel file with the infant mortality rates in the London Boroughs for each of the years from 1965-1969 as I've now found out that the Greater London Council was set up in 1965 as were the London Boroughs which still remain in that form.Response
Please find attached an Excel spreadsheet showing infant mortality numbers and rates for England and Wales and all London boroughs for the years 1965 to 1969.
Data are based on deaths registered in the data year and have been taken from the Registrar General's Statistical Review volumes.
The areas within the tables are based on the boundaries that were in use in the specific year that the data was published. Therefore, there may not be consistent boundaries for all areas throughout the time period.
Other special extracts and tabulations of mortality data for England and Wales are available (subject to legal frameworks, disclosure control, resources and agreement of costs, where appropriate). You do not need to make a Freedom of Information request and can contact the team directly at: vsob@ons.gsi.gov.uk
