Statistics User Forum

The Statistics User Forum (SUF) was set up in 2004 as the successor to the long-established Statistics User Council. It provides an umbrella organisation for an increasingly large number of groups of statistics users, and represents the shared views of this very diverse community. It is hosted by the Royal Statistical Society and supported by a secondment from the UK Statistics Authority.

In early 2012, the Royal Statistical Society launched a new website StatsUserNet to stimulate engagement between users and other users, and between users and producers of official statistics. The site carries news of interest to users, materials relating to relevant events, discussion forums and other facilities.

Statsusernet

Statsusernet, the Royal Statistical Society’s interactive website for all users of official statistics, was set up to fulfil the widely recognised need for improvement in communication between users, and between users and producers, of official statistics.

It makes use of the latest social networking technologies, providing facilities for discussion, sharing of resources, interactive content and blogging. ONS contributes regularly to a number of communities.
