ONS published its response to the consultation on statistical products in February 2014.
In the response, it identified three categories of outputs: 16 that would continue; 15 that would continue if alternative sources of funding could be found; and seven that would stop.
In the period following the end of the consultation, ONS has met with a number of government departments and public bodies to discuss possible funding for the outputs in the second category.
Following these constructive discussions, alternative funding or solutions have been found for five of the 15 outputs. These will now continue. The remaining ten will be discontinued; however, other sources of data will continue to be available for some of these outputs.
ONS has published an updated response (55.2 Kb Pdf) to set out the final outcomes for all 38 outputs consulted on.
