CPI annual inflation – the Government’s target measure – was 2.4 per cent in April, down from 2.8 per cent in March.
CPIH annual inflation - the new measure of consumer price inflation including owner occupiers' housing costs, was - 2.2 per cent in April, down from 2.6 per cent in March.
In the year to April 2013 the output price index for home sales of manufactured products rose 1.1%. In the same period the total input price index fell by 0.1%.
