The Index of Services increased by 3.4% in September 2014 compared with September 2013. All of the four main components of the services industries increased in the most recent month compared with the same month a year ago.
Business Investment decreased by an estimated £0.3 billion (-0.7%) compared with Q2 2014 however, it increased by 6.3% compared with the same quarter a year ago.
UK gross domestic product in volume terms was estimated to have increased by 0.7% in Q3 2014 , unrevised from the previously published estimate.
