The UK Statistics Authority’s Code of Practice states that “Statistical methods should be consistent with scientific principles and internationally recognised best practices … Quality should be monitored and assured taking into account internationally agreed practices”.
NSQRs are an important way of ensuring that National Statistics and other Official Statistics are fit for purpose and that we seek to improve the quality of these outputs. The Reviews that have taken place since the reintroduction of NSQRs in 2012 are shown below.
