Presents data on internal migration within the UK, by former Health Authority areas and regions.Rolling year internal migration estimates based on NHS Central Registers (NHSCRs) are published every three months in February, May, August and November. These estimates are based on the movement of NHS doctors' patients between former Health Authority Areas in England and Wales and Area Health Boards in Scotland and Northern Ireland. The annual mid-year estimates based on a combination of three administrative data sources, the Patient Register Data Service (PRDS), the National Health Service Central Register (NHSCR) and Higher Education Statistics Agency (HESA) data are viewed as being a more complete data source in the estimation of internal migration.
