Time series dataset: UK trade is a key economic indicator due to the importance of international trade to the UK economy. It is also a very timely statistic, providing an early indicator of what is happening more generally in the economy. In addition, it is a major component of two other key economic statistics – UK Gross Domestic Product (GDP) and the UK Balance of Payments. This means that there is a threefold potential for UK Trade statistics to inform the Government’s view of the UK economy, as well as the views of others, such as economists, City analysts, academics, the media, and international organisations.

Time Series Data.

This dataset presents monthly death figures providing counts of the number of deaths registered by area of usual residence, England and Wales. The provisional data relates to deaths registered in a calendar month.

The current account records transactions in respect of trade in goods and services, income and current transfers. A geographic breakdown is available for major trading partners. The capital account consists of capital transfers and the acquisition or disposal of non-produced, non-financial assets.

The international investment position measures end of period balance sheet levels of UK external assets and liabilities. IIP consists of direct investment, portfolio investment, other investment and reserve assets. External debt is a measure of balance sheet liabilities owing to non-residents

Business investment estimates are a short term indicator of capital expenditure by manufacturing and non-manufacturing businesses within the UK.

Revision Triangles are tables that use historical Index of Services data to compare the estimates produced at first publication against the estimates published 12 months later. Index of Services shows the monthly movements in gross value added for the service industries, which overall account for around 77 per cent of UK Gross Domestic Product (GDP)
