Holiday entitlement
Employees are entitled to an annual leave allowance of 25 days, with ten and a half public and privilege holidays to be taken at set times of the year. The Office for National Statistics (ONS) recognises the diverse religious origins within its workforce and seeks to accommodate individual leave requirements.
Total flexible working
We are committed to helping staff achieve an appropriate balance between work and other areas of their lives. Most staff work flexible working hours which allows employees to balance their work and home life more effectively.
Welfare
As members of the Institute of Welfare, the Welfare team at ONS is trained in counselling skills and provides a confidential service for all staff. Welfare officers offer help and support in dealing with both work-related and personal problems.
