The Office for National Statistics (ONS) Newport site is approximately two miles outside Newport city centre, set in pleasant surroundings next to Tredegar House stately home and park. Newport is one of the newest cities in the UK and the gateway to south Wales.
Our role
The Newport office is the corporate headquarters of ONS. The work here focuses on the collection and analysis of economic statistics, though there is a growing emphasis on social data. A range of corporate services, such as Human Resources, Information Management, Communications and Finance are based here.

Location
The Office for National Statistics (ONS) London site is in Myddelton Street, Islington. Myddelton Street lies close to the border of two of London's ancient parishes - Islington and Clerkenwell - and the surrounding area is full of historic buildings and landmarks.
Our role
The work of the London office focuses on researching and analysing social and economic data primarily collected by other ONS sites. One of the main products of this work is the National Accounts and Gross Domestic Product (GDP), the most widely-used measure of the UK’s economy. There is a small Media Relations Office presence in London and media briefings are held here.

Location
The Office for National Statistics (ONS) Titchfield site is about a mile outside Titchfield village, which lies midway between Portsmouth and Southampton on the south coast of England. The 10-acre site is a former World War Two Royal Air Force barrage balloon station.
Our role
The work of the Titchfield office focuses on population, demography, geography and regional and local statistics. This includes responsibility for the 10-yearly census of population.
