2001 data for revised constituencies in England and Wales
A wide range of Census data are now available for the recently revised England and Wales constituencies of the Westminster Parliament and the constituencies of the National Assembly for Wales (NAW).
Issue date: 29 January 2008
Type: Statement
The constituencies for England are as defined in the Boundary Commission for England's Fifth Report which was laid before Parliament in February 2007. The constituencies for Wales are as defined in the Fifth Periodical Report on Parliamentary Constituencies and First Report on The National Assembly of Wales Electoral Regions made by the Boundary Commission for Wales in December 2005. The new Westminster Parliamentary Constituencies are provisional, as some further revision is anticipated prior to the next general election, whilst the NAW constituencies came into effect for elections in Wales in May 2007.
Tables can be viewed and downloaded from the Neighbourhood Statistics Service (NeSS) and Nomis websites. Summary data (as counts in Key Statistics and Univariate Census Areas Statistics tables) are delivered by NeSS, and more detailed counts (Multivariate Census Area Statistics) can be found on Nomis.
