Accessing the VML
Research applications for the VML go through four stages:

researchers send in an application form

the application needs to be approved by the Office for National Statistics (ONS) and by any other relevant data providers

contracts are drawn up and signed
-
training is given, if necessary
Once all these stages have been passed, researchers can book time in the VML and start using the data.
