Virtual Microdata Laboratory (VML)
The Virtual Microdata Laboratory (VML) is an on-site research access facility through which confidential, sensitive data can be accessed within a secure environment.
The VML can be accessed from all four Office for National Statistics (ONS) sites at Newport - south Wales, Titchfield - Hampshire and London - Myddleton Street and Drummond Gate.
Data are confidential and therefore access is tightly restricted. Procedures and audits are in place to ensure that only non-disclosive analyses are taken out of the VML.
