Building and Civil Engineering Employment Output Survey
The Building and Civil Engineering Employment Output Survey is a quarterly survey of public sector direct labour organisations within the construction and allied trades industry in Great Britain. The survey collects information on employment and output levels from local authorities, and about direct labour operatives and other staff whose work is totally or mainly related to building and civil engineering.
The results, when combined with information collected on private contractors, provide a comprehensive measure of economic activity in the construction industry.
