North West
Gary Wainman (Regional Statistician) and Rachel Young (Regional Analyst) make up the regional statistical team in the North West.
Gary and Rachel are working with organisations across the North West to improve the quality and accessibility of the Office for National Statistics (ONS) regional data, and to assist partners in the analysis and exploitation of government data sources. They aim is to improve the regional evidence base used to underpin regional strategies and performance evaluation across the regional and subregional partner network.
Both are keen to meet with users of government data across the North West and would be happy to hear from anyone who feels they would benefit from their expertise, whether it's advice on a data source or appropriateness of analysis. Gary and Rachel are co-located with the North West Development Agency's Research team in Renaissance House, Warrington.
