This framework document was issued at the creation of ONS in April 1996. It established the status and governance of the ONS and described its aims, objectives and functions.

These are presentations of ONS's high level corporate business plans. Among the topics discussed are: delivery, resources, risks, opportunity and promoting understanding.

ONS Efficiency Technical Note
The Efficiency Technical Note sets out the measures and methodologies that ONS will use to assess achievement of the efficiency gains targeted in the 2004 Spending Review; along with the baselines from which progress will be measured.
