The labour market estimates for the three months to March 2009 (Jan-Mar 2009) were due to be released at 9.30am tomorrow, 13 May, as pre-announced by ONS.

The estimates were instead published at 2pm today, 12 May, as there was an accidental early release of some data.

The National Statistician has initiated an inquiry into how this happened, and will report to the UK Statistics Authority very shortly.

ONS apologises for the inconvenience caused.
