Twelfth GSS Methodology Conference

The one-day event was designed to bring together people working on methodological developments and applications from around the GSS, to share experiences and provide a forum for learning about different methods and techniques.

The welcoming address this year was taken by the National Statistician, Karen Dunnell, and the keynote speakers were Professor Ian Diamond (Chief Executive, ESRC) and Professor Pedro Luis do Nascimento Silva (Southampton University). There were parallel sessions on data linking, statistical disclosure control, data collection methods, 2011 Census, survey precision and administrative data sources.

This year's conference also coincided with the launch of the National Data Strategy. Professor Ian Diamond, Professor David Rhind, Sue Duncan and Professor Peter Elias all spoke at the launch.
