Guidance for presenting statistics after the local government reorganisation on 1 April is now available. The revised Guidance for Administrative Areas includes advice on:

  • the nine new unitary authorities operative from 1 April 2009

  • the order of presentation for countries, regions and local authorities

  • table headings and footnotes

  • the former/abolished areas

The new coding structure for UK Statistical Geographies is to be implemented on 1 January 2011. For details please see the Coding and Naming Policy via the Best Practice Guidance web page.
